Drag a distribution.
The slider's position is a probability and its ticks are values. Step sizes follow the local density: fine where the distribution is concentrated, coarse in the tails. No major or minor ticks, just how much room each tick has.
Every control here is qbar. A location is a dial: drag the normal track, as wide as its scale, under the fixed needle. A scale is a slider on an uncapped exponential track with rate 1 / |location|.

What the layout did
Recomputed on every change, for the slider's current width.
In a form
Tracks are form controls: they submit raw values under their name,
reset to their defaults, and respect required and
disabled, here through the fieldset.
A few distributions
Fixed examples on the same core. "File size" uses a custom
ladder() of powers of two.
